A long time ago in Bethlehem
一個 寧靜的夜晚
On a peaceful, silent night
神的兒子主耶穌
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God,
降 生在聖誕夜
Was born this very night
牧 羊的人看守羊群
The shepherds were minding their sheep
忽然看 見天上明星
When they saw a shining star
天 使高唱哈利路亞
Angels cried out 'Hallelujah'
傳 報奇妙訊息
And proclaim the great news:
當 約瑟帶著馬利亞
As Joseph travelled with Mary
來到 小小伯利恆
To this little Bethlehem
他 們饑餓又疲乏
Though they're hungry and weary
卻 沒有休息的地方
They couldn't find a resting place
一步一步他們往前走
As they went from place to place
看見 一個小馬槽
They saw a small manger
就 在這卑微小馬槽
And in this humble small manger
救 主耶穌基督降生
Our Lord Jesus Christ was born
聽啊天使高聲唱
Hark, the herald angels sing
榮 耀歸新生王
"Glory to new-born King!
平 安歸於世上的人
Peace on earth and mercy mild
因 為基督降生
For Christ is born tonight!"
